The Magical Journal • A Twitch Extension by TheDiagonAllie
Effective date: October 19, 2026
This notice explains how The Magical Journal Twitch Extension (the “Extension”), operated by TheDiagonAllie, handles information when viewers use their personalized magical journal. This notice applies to the Extension, not to Twitch generally.
Information used by the Extension
- Twitch account information: Information used to identify and display the correct viewer, such as Twitch user ID, username or display name, profile picture, and Twitch-provided authentication information.
- Journal and community participation data: Information associated with a viewer's Twitch account, such as Hogwarts house, wand details, Challenge Points, collected companions, Chocolate Frog Cards, Satchel items, and related collection counts or progress. This information comes from participation in TheDiagonAllie's Twitch community and its connected Streamer.bot systems.
- Technical information: Requests to the Extension's backend may involve ordinary connection information processed by infrastructure providers, such as network and request metadata, to deliver and protect the service.
How information is used
We use this information to display each viewer's Journal, associate collections with the correct Twitch account, update progress from community activities, troubleshoot problems, and help protect access to individual Journal records. The Extension does not need payment card information.
Storage and service providers
Journal data is handled through the Extension's backend hosted on Cloudflare, including its database services. Shared images and catalogs are also served through Cloudflare. Twitch supplies Extension authentication and account context, and Streamer.bot supports the community activities that update Journal information. These services process information as needed to operate the Extension.
Sharing and visibility
Journal records are used to provide the personalized Extension experience. The Extension is designed to authenticate viewers before returning their individual Journal records. Some information about community activities, such as points, rewards, or collections, may also appear in Twitch chat or other community features independently of the Extension. We do not sell Journal data to advertisers.
How long information is kept
Journal collection records may be kept for as long as the Extension and related community collection systems operate, unless they are deleted or no longer needed. There is no fixed automatic deletion period for collection progress. Some technical data may be retained separately by infrastructure providers under their own policies.
Your choices and requests
You can stop using the Extension at any time. To ask what Journal information is associated with your Twitch account, request a correction, or request deletion, contact thediagonallie@gmail.com and include your Twitch username. We may need to verify that the request concerns your account and address records in the connected community systems as well as the Extension's database.
Security
The Extension uses Twitch-provided authentication and backend access checks to help protect personalized Journal data. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Updates to this notice
This notice may be updated if the Extension's features or data practices change. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are made.
